Value
We believe every young person is created in the image of God and deeply valued. We are committed to treating every individual with dignity, honouring their unique worth, and creating environments where they feel safe and respected.
Safety
We prioritise safe spaces where trust can grow. With clear safeguarding procedures, ongoing training, and a culture of accountability, we protect young people from harm and ensure their voices are heard. We work in partnership with other agencies, including the police, children’s social care, schools, and local services to ensure the highest standards of care and protection.
Compassion
Inspired by the love of Jesus, we respond to every young person with compassion and care. We listen with empathy, respond with wisdom, and act with courage. When concerns arise, we act swiftly and in the best interests of the young person, advocating for them and supporting them through life’s challenges.
safeguarding policy
Safeguarding is of highest importance to us because we know that for young people to truly thrive—emotionally, spiritually, and socially—they must first feel safe and protected.
Many of the young people we work with have experienced trauma, instability, or harm, and we are committed to being a consistent presence of care, safety, and advocacy in their lives. We hold ourselves to the highest standards of safeguarding by:
- Following robust, up-to-date policies and procedures
- Providing regular training for our team
- Working closely with statutory agencies such as the police and children’s social care
- Creating environments built on trust, transparency, and accountability
Safeguarding is not just a policy—it’s part of our culture. It underpins every interaction, every project, and every relationship we build. Because when young people feel safe, they can begin to heal, grow, and step into the fullness of who they are created to be.
All leaders, trustees, and volunteers undergo Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and receive annual safeguarding training. This training is specifically contextualised to the needs of the young people we currently support, ensuring that all staff are equipped to address the unique challenges they may face.
If you have any concerns or wish to disclose a safeguarding issue, please contact Kelly Jones, Centre Director, or Kate Solanki, Chair of Trustees.
